Electric bicycle ERMES – wood instead of plastic details

Electric bicycle ERMES is built by Italian start-up company Mechane. This project with 250W electric mid-motor 36V and torque tops at 80Nm aims to promote sustainable mobility through innovative electric bicycle is made from ecological materials: wood instead of plastic details.

5 levels of assistance: from 60 km autonomy (maximum assistance) up to 120 km (minimum assistance), are easily selectable from the control unit on the handlebar and once the maximum level is selected, a peculiarity of this electric mid-motor is that it can deliver full power. Wooden frame part: light structure in laminated wood wrapping the aluminium body absorbing the vibrations.

ERMES fitted with a 500Wh battery pack. Neatly protected by the frame from shocks and natural elements, it can be easily removed and charged at home.
