Is hubless electric bike from Reevo the bicycle of the future?

Developed by Beno Technologies, the sleek, ultra-futuristic design seems to be taken straight out of a sci-fi movie. This electric bike has boasted a sort-of-novel design – wheels that have no hubs of spokes. So instead of relying on central hub and spokes, the tires spin on a bearing along the fixed rims.

Aimed at the urban cyclist, Reevo has hubless, spokeless wheels, a beam-style frame and one-sided fork, and can even be locked and unlocked with your fingertip. Hubless wheels aren’t entirely new, but Reevo takes things up a notch, with automatic brake lighting integrated into the rims. Reevo’s electric bike wheels are patent-pending and are built around a strong, lightweight core with “triple sealed technology.”

Now, admittedly it does look pretty cool & that’s partly why the company behind it has been able to generate so much hype around it in such a short time period. As a bonus, no spokes mean that Reevo can store your stuff inside the wheels! Beno Technologies have already designed custom bags that lock on to them on both sides.

About concerning – an electric the bike is equipped with a 750-W motor, which allows it to reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h. At the same time, its 48V removable battery can fully recharge in just three hours. As it stands, information on the electric bike’s range has yet to be disclosed. Now about to enter into production, the Reevo is expected to go on sale in 2021.
